Healthcare Delivery and Development in Peru - Volunteer Trip
Organized by: Claire Breitenstein
Help support a group of engineering and public health students on their mission to deliver medical services to families in need on a MEDLIFE Mobile Clinic in Lima, Peru! As volunteers, we will work closely with medical professionals on the Clinic, work on community development projects, and much more. Please help us realize this goal by supporting our participation in the program! We are involved at Minnesota in an emerging student chapter of Engineering World Health, a national organization with the mission, “We inspire, educate, and empower the biomedical engineering community to improve healthcare delivery in the developing world.” In addition to working to find healthcare solutions in under-resourced regions of the world, our chapter also focuses on engineering solutions to local healthcare problems. We’re extremely excited to enable people in Peru to live happier and healthier lives, and we also can’t wait to bring our experience back with and us and use what we learn in Peru to grow our EWH chapter, our university, the local community, and other regions of the world.
