BENEFITING: New Covenant Missions, Inc.
The Executive Director of New Covenant Foundation (NCF), Erik Laursen, and his team have been working to alleviate poverty, sickeness, and spread the Gospel of Christ in remote areas of Ethiopia. One of these remote areas is the village of Wolaita. Wolaita has vast medical needs that are due to a lack of knowledge of basic hygiene. New Covenant Foundation has created a program called community health evangelism (CHE) program helps teach rural communities in Ethiopia about basic health skills that seem trivial to us. For example, many families live and sleep with livestock which causes horrible viruses within the village and sometimes results in death. This program uses the money we raise to send people to Ethiopia and train these villagers. As students at Whitworth University, an institution that prides itself on, "producing graduates who honor God, follow Christ, and serve humanity," we hope to serve the people of Sogido and support NCF in their efforts to alleviate poverty and spread the Gospel. Ultimately, we hope you will join us in providing NCF and CHE with the neccessary funds to send these trainers!
