Heart for Haiti
Organized by: Empowering Lives Together
I will be going to Haiti on February 24th, 2015. I pray that if it touches your heart to help with expenses on this mission trip, or to build this family a home, please do so! Your financial assistance helps to mission in Haiti as the Lord has called us to do. Your prayers or monetary gifts are all ways you can mission also!
"For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”" Romans 10:13-15
UPDATE: I recently returned to Haiti. When I am there, I go to church at Lines in the village of Ti Rivier with Junior and Frantz-the two boys. I have been praying on having Mona, their mother, and sister Monzoun and her daughter Chlaurine to join us. To my utter joy, Mona and Chlaurine joined us both Sundays that I was there. I was overjoyed to say the least. My prayers have been answered and will be continued to have Monzoun join us in the future.
After church, I once again made a house visit to this family. They were excited and happy to see that I returned. I visited with them to inform them we are working on building a home for them. The happiness that filled their eyes and faces are undescribable! We prayed together asking for God's blessings, thanking Him for enabling us to share in the lives of each other, and bringing hope to their future. Mona then stated to me, she can now see she has received a gift from God by sending me to them. How special is that! All Praise and Glory to God!
If you can help to bring hope to their future in building a house they can call their home, please help me in doing so. $5, $10, or $20 donations all add up. I know I will be humbly greatful as I know they will also. God Bless!
For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.
I went on a Mission trip to Haiti in September 2013, where I did a house visit of a family of six (6). The dilapidated home has a very dark presence there. The family does not own the home, but are to pay rent. They are very poor and cannot make rent payment. This brings on the landlord who isn't very nice to the family. My hope is to be able to empower the family with the blessings of financial gifts to build a place they can call home that may be filled with God's presence. The family consists of the mother, Mona who is a bread maker; a son Junior (who dreams of being an electrician), a son Frantz (who wishes to become a tailor); a daughter Monzoon who has a daughter Chlaurine, age 4. Junior's father left the family when he was very young. Frantz's father died while climbing a coconut tree to provide for the family-falling to his death. Monzoon struggles at being a young mother to provide for Chlaurine, as well as the whole family struggling to provide for one another. The mother sleeps in a dilapidated hut away from the rest of the family. There is a man also that lives here that I do not know much about. I have prayed with this family and believe they should have the oppourtunity of a home filled with God's love.
