Nancy Carlson wrote -The Heartland Fragile X Alliance of South Dakota & Iowa is proud to support the National Fragile X Foundation’s “Let ‘Em Know 5K” event! By participating in this virtual run/walk you will help us raise awareness in South Dakota & Iowa about the number one cause of inherited mental impairment and the number one cause of inherited autism. Or consider making a donation to help support the event.
What does a virtual run/walk mean?
Basically, it means you can complete it anywhere, anytime beginning July 1 and ending on July 31, 2013. You can run or walk the 3.1 miles (5K) all at once, over the course of a week or the entire month. This is on the honor system—you do not have to report or verify your miles! All participants who register ($25 entry fee) by June 10 will receive a custom-designed, collectible athletic race shirt and (the first of many!) NFXF Let ’Em Know 5K race bib.

We hope you will join us and support our team!
All donations will be matched up to $25,000. So this is a chance to raise $50,000! Best of all 50% of all donations will stay with the local group. This money will be used to help families attend our educational Parents and Professionals conference held October 5, 2013 in Sioux City, Iowa.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
