As most of you know I will be running the United NY half marathon. While out running one day, I thought what is the point of doing such a big accomplishment without having a goal of giving back. On my recent 10 mile run, the idea of giving back to my hometown came about, as this little Karoo town gave me the jumpstart in life I needed to become who I am. There are so many people in need in Cradock as this small town has seen hardship during the years, most in the poorer communities. I wanted a charity that gives back to as many people as possible and actually making a change in someone's daily life and hence I am raising funds for Cradock Round Table 37. Cradock Round Table 37 was established in 1956 and prides itself on being a highly active and responsible organization which has selflessly served our fellow human beings for almost 60 years. The funds which are raised by Round Table are donated to organizations such as the Nomzamo Special Day Care Centre for Street Children, ACVV, Cradock School for the Mentally Challenged and approved church charities to name only but a few.
