You can help the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association reach our goal of raising $50,000 by running on behalf of our organization on race day, or by simply donating.
Our mission is to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. That single purpose drives all we do. The need for our work & your assistance is beyond question. Heart diseases and Stroke are the #1 & #5 killers of all Americans.
To participate as one of our charity runners, we require a fundraising commitment as outlined below. We can't meet our goal of $50,000 without your help.
Half Marathon - $500
Marathon Relay Team - $1250 per team ($250 per person)
5k - $250
Kids Marathon - $100
Please note you will have until April 30, 2016 to complete the fundraising requirement.
*** Each participant will receive a prize pack as a runner for the American Heart Association/American Stroke Associaiton. Prize packs will be sent in the weeks leading up to the race!
Last year in the city of Pittsburgh, the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association funded 37 research grants for over 8.5 million dollars. For every $1 raised in the city of Pittsburgh, $3 comes back to the area in the form of funding.
Without you support, these lifesaving research studies and innovations would not be possible. In fact many of the first cardiovascular breakthroughs were discovered here in Pittsburgh.
Please join the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s team in our ongoing fight against heart disease and stroke. Our goal this year is to recruit 100 runners and raise $50,000; to combat the #1 and #5 killers of all Americans.
