Hearts4Haiti: Beginning Relationships for Economic Growth
Organized by: Jeremy Schupbach
Along with a team from Cherry Hills Community Church, I will be headed to Mirebalais, Haiti on August 1, to begin building relationships and connections for long term economic development and job creation in Haiti. This trip has become very important to me, and it is my hope that you would join me in thoughts prayers and hopefully :) financial support to reach out to the people in Haiti and to help them grow economically, socially and spiritually. Our team’s vision is to create economy and restore the dignity of jobs to our brothers and sisters in Haiti...i.e. "teach them to fish". We are engaging with partners in a job creation program on the north coast in the hospitality sector as well as importing and selling coffee here in the U.S. Hearts4Haiti aspires to craft a program over the long term known as BAM (Business As Mission) through farm development, "Vacation with Purpose" and a Village Savings & Loan Association. We are also raising and sending funds ahead of time to employ Haitians to build the majority of a church, then we will be helping with some of the finishing touches. We will be consulting with our new Haitian friends about how we can continue to come alongside them over the long haul. From what we know now they need guidance in farming techniques and education. Will you join me by supporting my work to help bring hope and dignity to the people of Haiti by giving them the tools to combat poverty? We want to encourage them and let them know they are not alone in the struggle to increase their quality of life. PS. I would greatly appreciate your involvement in my trip, a donation of $10, $20 or $100 would mean the world to me - knowing that you are willing to join me in changing the lives and futures of the Hatian people.
