Heather Patterson Student Loan Debt Relief
Organized by: Heather C Patterson
I have been in school for five years seeking a degree in Nursing. I have been in school so long because I was missing many core classes ie: Math! I dropped out of high school and I had to work to support myself.
My education has included requisites for the Nursing program, and lower division work towards a bachelors degree which I will pursue immediately following the completion of my current ASN (associate in nursing) degree. I am currently enrolled in a saving match program that will pay for approximately $7000 of my bachelor program that will cost $17,540. I currently have $40,000 in student loans.
You may ask why am I asking for your help? My daughter will be graduating from high school next spring, at the same time I finish my bachelor program. I aspire to become debt free as soon as possible after my graduation, so that I can help my daughter pay for her college. I have worked to support myself since I was a teen, and worked as a massage therapist during my nursing program, which has been ranked as one of the most high stress majors. I will be grateful for an opportunity to be able to provide financial support for my daughters education unencumbered by my own education debt.
Thank you for anyone who feels inspired to donate. I am looking forward to my own greater sense of financial stability that will most assuredly come as a result of my new career. I anticipate being able to eventually offer donations to the foundation scholarship at my college that has provided some financial support during my last two years of my program. I believe in giving back, and in paying forward.
Thank you so much for reading, and if you choose o donate to my cause, I will be eternally grateful.
