Alzheimer's isn't something that most people think about until it affects somebody that they love, and even then the individual diagnosed is not the only victim. Everyone around them feels the detrimental effects of this diease. It is real and it affects 5 million people in the U.S. alone, of these diagnoses, 5% are early-onset. This means their symptoms start in their 40's are 50's. The youngest person diagnosed with Alzheimer's was only 27 years old.
These victims are not just our grandparents, but our parents, our spouses, our siblings.
