EVENT DATE: APR 30, 2017
Most of us know at least one person in our lives who has battled with cancer. Over the last few years, I have seen more and more of my friends and family face the disease.
I recently lost my Uncle Tyler to Cancer and wanted to find a way to honor his memory and help fight the battle against Cancer . Three years ago I started running marathons for myself, but this year I am running for my Uncle Tyler, my friend Jillian, my Stepmom Beth, my friend Rose's husband Dan, and the many others in my life and in yours who need a helping hand.
On April 30th, 2017 I will take on all 26.2 miles of the Big Sur Marathon in Northern California…
…and I need your help to raise over $1,500.
I’m asking for donations starting at $26.20* - one dollar for every mile of the Big Sur Marathon - and I challenge you to donate $262.
I also ask that you share this fundraiser with an equivalent number of people in your life that have experienced cancer. For example: if you know five people who experienced cancer, share this fundraiser with five of your friends or family.
The money I raise will be donated to The Lazarex Cancer Foundation, which provides hope and financial support for late stage cancer patients who have been told they have run out of medical options. They do this by presenting clinical trials as an alternative to hospice care for those who want to remain engaged inthe fight against cancer.
*Donations of any size are greatly appreciated.
