BENEFITING: Susan G. Komen New England
EVENT DATE: Jun 06, 2015
I am a 2-year survivor of Non-Hodgkins Follicular Lymphoma and I share a passion to rally in the fight against all CANCERS including breast cancer. On June 6th, I walk with my Breast Cancer Survivors/Friends Heidi, Kelli and Laurie!
Why this is so important - As a mother of 2 beautiful daughters who were born and lived in CT part of their lives, I was astounded to learn that Connecticut has the HIGHEST incidence of breast cancer in the United States, with over 3,000 Connecticut women diagnosed annually.
Through funds raised by Race participants, Komen Connecticut has committed and contributed more than $23 million in breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment.
Let's collaborate together to find the cure(s) for breast cancer and all other cancers! If CT's research finds better treatments and better technology. This data will be shared among other hospitals in other states including my treatment center - The Dana Farber Cancer Hospital.
Please take the next 4 minutes and donate. Thank you for helping me help this generation and the next.
