Helen's Table for Alzheimer's
Organized by: Abbie Caudill
My grandmother, Helen, passed away from Alzheimer's disease last year. While most people know that Alzheimer's Disease impacts memory, many people don't realize that it also attacks the motor system. This leads to meal time often being frustrating and difficult, and ultimately causes people with Alzheimer's to get fewer calories and nutrients than they desperately need to function. In honor of the one year anniversary of my grandmother's passing, I would like to donate eatwell sets to her caregiving facility, The Emerald at Green Hills in Ohio. Eatwell sets are designed to make meal time easier and less confusing and ultimately lead to better health and happiness for these patients (visit eatwellset.org for more information). These sets are invaluable not only to patients but also to caregivers, but I need help making this donation a reality. Every dollar helps and I can't say thank you enough for the difference you will be making for these people. Visit alz.org for more information about Alzheimer's Disease and it's impact.
