This story is about the Julien family. Debbie, her husband Brian and their 11 year old son. We have to begin as far back as 2004. At that time for the most part things were good for Debbie and Brian. Both had good jobs. The only thing missing was a child of their own. They had been trying for 7 years. So, in 2004 when Debbie's job was moving out of state she had to consider her husband's job and her step daughter who they had shares custody with her Mother. Debbie took the layoff package in lieu of the job offer. One month later she found out she was pregnant. Brian took on more hours at work and started a side business so that Debbie could stay home with their son born in 2005. They had emergency savings and $ from Debbie's 401k to help as well. The plan was she would return to work when their son started Kindergarten. They would be able to recover the savings etc with timecon their side. All went well until the recession hit. Brian lost his job of 10 years and was only receiving unemployment benefits. They could not pay their mortgage on their home of 15 years. Neither one could find a job. They had to short sale their home and it has been a roller coaster ever since. Moving residences often and getting behind on everything. They had to file bankruptcy and Debbie suffered a miscarriage. They worked hard to continually progress, however, they never could get ahead. They lived pay check to pay check and any unexpected expense would put them in financial crisis. Sometimes not having $ for food or gas to get to work. Both Debbie's and Brian's family members were not local or even within the same state. Their son was 10 years old in 2015 and had grown up without Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles or cousins. So, when Debbie's sister asked them to move across the country and stay with her and her husband so that they could be close to family (including Debbie's aging Mother) and with the opportunity to save $ not having to pay rent or utilities in order to pay off debt and have a fresh start when they moved out.....they thought that sounded like the right thing to do. Debbie cashed out her pension with her employer at that time in order to finance the very expensive move across country. Leaving her home of 37 years. Her son left the only place he knew as home and all his friends. However, he was very excited to be with his Grandmother and other family members. They all were. Since they arrived July 2015 they have been treated horribly by Debbie's sister. She yells profanity, calls them names, tells them to get out, has gotten physical with them, thrown things, and makes their life miserable. They are gone all day at work/school and when they are home stay upstairs out of everyone's way in their bedroom. They come down only to their laundry and to eat. Even then they have to wait for them to allow them use of the laundry and wait until they have eaten first. They cause no problems and clean up completely after themselves. Brian has been working full-time since only 3 weeks after they arrived. Debbie did not work full time until the end of December and that was agreed upon with Debbie's sister and husband. Debbie was concerned about her son and wanted to get him acclamated in school etc before she went to work full time. They have had to buy a used car for Brian because they had to sell his vehicle to make the move across country. They were sharing one car for a while. They have been saving to move out. It is so sad that they left their home in CA and did all they did to come across country to be with family that has all been done in vane. The family does not speak and they have not been able to pay any bills off because they are being rushed out of the house now. To be quite Frank, they live in complete hell on a daily basis and want nothing more than to be in their own place paying rent and utilities. Please help this tortured family who are wonderful, loving and giving people who do not deserve to be treated the way they are
