THE STORY:

My name is Christine and I am volunteering for various social organizations here in Spain; I am associated with CEAR but this is my first project, I am buying new shoes wholesale and I am distributing them in and around the city of Malaga to African refugees. I buy as many pairs of shoes as I can, considering many refugees have been literately walking for month and have crossed the Mediterranean sea, nobody can imagine how dangerous their journey was As many of you will already know there is a growing exodus of refugees entering Europe from areas of conflict and desperate poverty from Africa. A key point of crossing into Europe is the Street of Gibraltar and south of Tetuan, Morocco, most of them arriving in small makeshift boats in southern Spain, east of Malaga. This is a widely ignored crisis of Africans who have crossed the Mediterranean , and are now trying to survive in Spain. These people are so poor that many of them don't have enough for daily living including clothing and shoes. In Spain all the help organizations are highly regulated, and the officials and bureaucrats do not allow or appreciate much private help from private citizens, they want to have everything streamlined via some selected and controlled organizations, the officials in Andalucia often see it as interference of their power and influence. when volunteers are stepping in and take matters into their own hands. I hope to raise at least 1000 to go towards buying new batches of shoes for African refugees. You can contact me and you can ask me anything; I am currently working on a site, but I already have made a video which I can send to your email. Please give what you can, however small. Many Thanks
