BENEFITING: Interfaith Social Services Inc.
Hi, all. As most of you know, I am deeply committed to helping end hunger on the South Shore. To that end, I am personally fundraising for the Feed the Hungry Gala in December to benefit Interfaith Social Services. Along with my fellow committee members, I want to raise as much money as possible so that no child has to go to bed hungry, no mother has to keep a dirty diaper on a child because she's trying to make them stretch, no child has to give up on Santa because there's nothing under the tree and no neighbor has to live in shame because they don't have enough to provide for their family. I hate asking people for money, I truly do, but here I am -- asking. I'm wondering if you would be willing to pack lunch one day this week and give whatever you would have spent to Feed the Hungry. If you're looking for some guidance, a salad and drink at Panera is about $11. Add a cookie for $2. If things are tight this month and you'd be willing to give up your morning coffee to help out, a medium regular at Dunkin' is about $2 and a tall latte at Starbucks is about $3.50. Whatever you can give is so deeply appreciated. Thank you!
