I have a friend her name is Banitha, She is from North Philadelphia. I guess before i explain her story i should probably explain how i encountered this special individual. About Two weeks ago I was giving another friend of mine a ride to N. Philly to pick up his daughter so she could spend the weekend with him. While in Philly a you woman age 28 jumped into the back seat of my truck and asked if she could just ride where ever we were headed. Now at first me and the friend figured it was somekind of our first reaction was to deny the young womens plea...but then she began to explain why, and as she began an unnerving story about how she was fleaing an abusive relationship with a man, and was trying to get her 12 year old sun back after he was taken from her by people who deemed her an unfit parent, she explain how she was having to physically fight someone atleast every other day due to her forced occupation involving drugs and sales. She revealed her sons father had been murdered and also which i found the most shocking is that she had been shot in the head during a robbery and survived by the grace of God. Now i now i have been told i have a soft heart and also that i was a sucker for woman, but in that very instance after hearing her amazing and heartbreaking story I realized I had to help this woman. I couldnt at that point put her out of my vehicle and knew i had to help her. So i took her with us and I tried to hide her in my mothers house even though i knew she had a strict no overnight visitors policy. To long story short i got put out of my mothers house but shortly after we contacted a family member of hers so she had a safe place to stay. Everyone has been telling me i shouldnt have helped her at the expense of my own place to lay my own head. Was I wrong? Because I dont feel wrong, and to be honest i would spend the rest of my life on the street and crashing where i can, if this woman could dwell safely get herself back on track and be able to get her child back. Im not worried about my own situation at this point but feel as though she needs real help to accomplish her goal so I ask for people who read this to donate whatever you can to help her succeed. I couldnt turn my back on her and I truly believe if given a proper chance her life can be changed for the better. Thank you and God Bless
