Help Bernie volunteers build Latinx political revolution
Organized by: Becky Bond
Amazing Latinx volunteers organized in their communities to get out the vote for Bernie. Now they need to get to work to hold the Clinton administration accountable.
As the presidential campaign is coming to a close, we want to help these volunteers get connected to other Latinx volunteers and organizers who will lead the fight to stop the deportations, pass comprehensive immigration reform, and win justice for Puerto Rico.
The meeting is being organized by Mijente, a pro-Black, pro-LGBTQ, pro-worker, pro-immigrant, pro-planet rooted in self determination. It will be held Dec. 2-4 in San Juan Puerto Rico in order to help galvanize support to address the ongoing crisis on the island. The average cost to attend the meeting -- airfare and hotel -- is $800 per person. Let's help Bernie volunteers continue their work by connecting them to this national community of organizers.
“In this charged moment of backlash matched with movement resurgence, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. One key way we can recharge and center ourselves is precisely in the places where people have drawn a line in the sand. There are many of those places, right now. And San Juan is one of them.”
