Help Damari

At age 14, her aunt fell while adjusting a TV antenna, taking down a power line with her. She fell onto this young girl, Damari Tesucun, and died of electrocution. The deceased aunt was on top of Damari for 45 minutes until the power company came and turned the power off so they could be separated. She was hospitalized in Belize with little hope of keeping her alive. Her leg was amputated leaving a very small stump. A wealthy person lent her family the money to airlift her to Galveston, TX to a Shriner’s Hospital where she was treated. (That didin’t include the airfare for her mother, so her family sold their car to get her mom to go with her. ) Her right index finger was also amputated. Her body is covered with skin grafts. Thankfully, her face was not affected, nor was her spirit. She has tremendous faith in God that she was saved for a reason. Her family is still paying back the woman who lent the money, years later. Last summer she finished with an additional surgery in Galveston and has returned to Belize. When she returns to Galveston for follow up care, her family pays all the expenses to get there. She is smart and pretty and happy. I met her while on a dental mission in her town, Orange Walk Town, Belize. She has applied to Medical School and, with her grades and motivation, I'm sure she will make it. She could also be a motivational speaker for young people as she has presented her story to several groups. Copy and paste this YouTube link to see this beautiful young lady and what she went through. Thank you
