Help Domine afford Hillsdale College!
Organized by: domine Clemons
Hi! My name is Domine. Ever since my junior year of high school, I have dreamed of going to Hillsdale College in Michigan. They provide superior education in the liberal arts. When I visited this college, the mission statement grabbed my attention... "Hillsdale College is an independent, nonsectarian institution of higher learning founded in 1844 by men and women “grateful to God for the inestimable blessings” resulting from civil and religious liberty and “believing that the diffusion of learning is essential to the perpetuity of these blessings.” It pursues the stated object of the founders: “to furnish all persons who wish, irrespective of nation, color, or sex, a literary and scientific education” outstanding among American colleges “and to combine with this such moral and social instruction as will best develop the minds and improve the hearts of its pupils.” I have no desire to attend any other college but my family is struggling with money. My dad is a singer for a living and my mom is a stay at home mother. I work a part-time job on the weekends and spend my weekdays at Donahue Academy in Ave Maria, Fl. Over the past year, I have saved my money rigorously, but I am so far behind on what I need to make my dream come true. I am one of ten children and our financial state is a struggle. I am paying for my way through college on my own but I need help! If I am able to fulfill this dream of mine and pursue my college career at Hillsdale College, I would make a difference. I believe that our nation needs young people with a good and moral based education. Hillsdale specializes in the realm of the Constitution and preserving it in America. Hillsdale College is my ticket to making a difference in the word and raising my voice. Please help me!
