Help for Downey Cats
Organized by: Lorraine Swineford
One night, my husband and I went to go eat at our local El Pollo Loco and stumbled upon a colony of cats. My husband and I have never trapped, but met someone there that has many years experience trapping ferals cats. The adult cats get spayed and neutered, are returned back to their original location, and continually fed and monitored over the years.
The first night, we trapped three adults and six kittens. One kitten was extremely sick and needed medical attention. To date, this little kitten has cost $1500. Now the remaining kittens have come down with URI (Upper Respiratory Infection), and they have been taken to the vet for medication.. I am up to my eyeballs in vet bills now for these kittens and I hope to get some help to pay off the vet bill.. The worst kitten, Tiger, is at Washington Blvd Animal Hospital in Whittier. A donation can be made to the vet under my name for little Tiger by calling 562-693-8233, if preferred. http://wbanimalhospital.com/
I am the sole bread winner as my husband stays at home and cares for his mother, who has advanced Alzeimer's / dementia. I want to help these kittens to get them healthy and adopted out thru a rescue group, but this situation has become very expensive and stressful.
Thank you so much.
