Help fulfill a 96 year old grandmother's wish.
Organized by: Jasmine Williams
My grandmother was incredibly healthy up until 2013 when she was in a terrible car accident. She suffered a concussion, broken shoulder, and multiple bumps and bruises. A day or so after being released from the hospital she was called back to treat her broken nose. She has been having other health issues as well since the accident like fluid build up in her lungs and extremities that cause her to spend about a week in the hospital about every couple months. She also has a PRN oxygen tank that she uses. Before the accident she would get up between 5 and 6 am to do her morning walk around the neighborhood. Now she can only make it to the mailbox and when she does it's with short of breath. A couple months ago while talking on the phone with her she told me she wanted to see us before her eyes shut, then in another conversation she mentioned that she wasn't sure how much longer she would be around. I took my children down to see her this past spring break and she was so happy to see us, But on our second day there she was taken by ambulance to the hospital. It turns out she had a heart attack and 3 of her four arteries in her heart were blocked the worst one 90% they were not able to do a stent but put her on medication instead. She was in the hospital for most of our stay we went and spent many hours with her daily. She was released from the hospital 2 days before we had to fly back home. My grandma is a fighter and we all love her very much. I'm starting this fund to help grant my grandma's wish to have all her family near her on a permanent basis, including her youngest son my father who is the only child that she does not have living nearby. He and my mother help to take excellent care of grandma when they can make it down to see her. These blessings from you would allow them to relocate and be with my grandma and make her wish come true. When she's with the ones she loves she's happiest and healthiest. Thank you all for your help and support in making her wish come true and God Bless.
