YOU GUYS DID IT!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
July 16, 2016
Hi guys! My name is Gabrielle! I am a double major in Biological Sciences and Chemistry at Southeastern Louisiana University. Everyone knows how expensive school can be. I am so blessed to have never had to pay for my college tuition. I have always worked hard and earned scholarships and grants. However, with my Spring 2017 graduation looming, senior year is proving more expensive than ever before. I am buying a small car on the 1st of August to commute to campus; I've been saving for 10 months! Of my 6 graduate school options, I have had to pay almost $900 in application fees for 4 of them (crazy right)? I am also taking the $202 Graduate Record Exam (GRE) for the second time to make sure that my scores are OFF THE CHARTS to be competitive for admission into a PhD program; I plan to earn my doctorate in Immunology and Infectious Diseases with a certification in Medical Pathology. Ever since I was little and especially since my parents died I have always been passionate about science and the treatment/study of diseases. It is my earthly purpose and God-given gift. But I need your help! I am in desperate need of a laptop for class. Currently I use the Mac computer lab at the youth tutoring center I volunteer at (I perform science experiments to get kids, especially minority children, interested in STEM fields.) But I'll be moving soon to be closer to my school. With me being a federal workstudy student on campus I can't afford to purchase a laptop on my own right now. The Dell Inspiron laptop featured on this page is the cheapest one at Best Buy with at least 4GB of memory (anything less is pretty much the equivalent of your iPhone's capability) and comes with Microsoft Office, essential for my lab reports and research data interpretation. Fall semester starts August 17th. Anything the Lord moves you to contribute would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks so much, y'all! Be blessed!
