THE STORY:
Heidi is a 2-month-old German Shepherd puppy who showed up to Oakland Animal Services lethargic and ill. She has been diagnosed with Parvovirus, a highly contagious and deadly disease. Puppies are especially at risk for contracting "Parvo" because they are not able to be fully vaccinated until they are 4 - 6 months old. Parvo is very difficult and expensive to treat, requiring hospitalization, IV fluids, and careful monitoring. We are not giving up on Heidi though, we believe her little life is worth it! Please help us pay for Heidi's treatment by donating to the Friends of Oakland Animal Services Mickey's Medical Fund.
