Help India's Infrastructure
Organized by: Jenna Nagji
The British colonization over India has had a detrimental impact on India’s progress. While China, North America, South America and Mexico were developing in the 1950s, India was just figuring its way around being an independent country. India had to start from scratch. This involved rebuilding universities, starting a proper government, and creating suitable laws for the country. India is behind China by more than 5 years in manufacturing, logistics and infrastructure. Japan has been assisting, and has donated $35 billion towards India’s infrastructure over the next five years. In 2015, India ranked 10th out of 20 of the richest countries in the world on the individual wealth chart. India’s wealth continues to increase yearly.
