Help Johnny beat Parco
Organized by: Sara Taveras Alam
Johnny is our beloved 10 week old Boston Terrier puppy who was admitted on july 8th with Parvovirus, one day after we brought him home from the puppy store. The day we took him home he was having watery diarrhea however he was eating, drinking and being playful. The next day...the diarrhea became bloody, he vomited, stopped drinking or eating and was hardly arousable. We took him to the Vet Emergency Clinic and he has beed admitted since. He was severely dehydrated requiring intravenous fluids and has been on 4 antibiotics for bacterial infections that have been a complication from the depressed immunity caused by the Parvovirus- including most recently an infection of his left knee. Johnny is alot better overall now. He has no more diarrhea, is eating well , is off the IV fluids and on oral antibiotics. Hopefully he will be discharged soon! But unfortunately the bill is alot more than we can handle on our own. Johnny did not have insurance yet as he was with us only for one day, and the puppy store as well as breeder are unfortunately not accepting their responsibility.
