THE STORY:

On Feb 8, 2016, my boyfriend and I had a loud verbal argument with no physical violence. The neighbors were concerned and wanted to go back to sleep. The police showed up and while they decided it was definitely not a domestic violence issue, by county law have to arrest one of us and charge with a felony domestic violence. Approximately ten yrs ago my boyfriend got into some trouble w bad friends; he now has a permanent record. At booking, a detective assumed he had a really bad guy sitting in front of him; he was wrong. For the first time ever in my life, I had finally found my future husband. He never laid a hand on me. Matter of fact, he did everything a good caring and devoted man should for his woman. Always fixed my car to make sure I was always safe. Built shelving in my home so I had more storage space. Paid half or more of all the bills. Always made me priority and loves me to the fullest. He and I both were unemployed at the time of the incident. Rent is $625 plus utils. I bailed him out by giving the bail bondsmen $400 of my feb rent, my collection of Native American artifacts, an old stage coach lantern, and a lien on my 2005 Mazda sedan. We are STILL pending court to get the charges dismissed. At the time of booking, the judge put a 1000' no contact order between us. My boyfriend hasn't been able to find work. I have interviewed plenty but am quite sure due to my increased anxiety of overwhelming amount of past due bills and unlawfully being seperated from the love of my life has kept employers from hiring me. We are three months past due on rent and utilities and I have exhausted all charity donations. I sold some things of mine to help him afford a lawyer. If I can't pay the three months rent by May 31st, then I will be forced to live in my car. My car also needs four new tires because the ones on there are completely bald; absolutely no tread left. See, I grew up in an abusive home. I also am a domestic violence survivor. I have a current protection order on my ex- I survived two full years of all forms of abuse with him. And it eneded with tragic Events of him trying to set me on fire and burn me alive in our home. I am quite educated on domestic violence. While yelling during an argument is not the best choice to make that night, domestic abuse did not occur. We love one another very much and made the honest mistake of having too much to drink. We are just trying to get by and make ends meet until our case is dismissed. Instead of paying rent, I paid his lawyer he upfront fee of $300. The total cost for the lawyer is $3500. All I want to raise money for is three months of rent plus utilities. I am pregnant with our child and have two eight month old male kittens and my four year old malamute mix. Please help us get back on our feet and I promise to get back to work and pay you all back for paying it forward or donate your share to the charity of your choice.
