Help Malia become Ms. Fashionetta 2016
Organized by: Lovely Brown
The Fashionetta Pageant is a community event where girls take part in a fashion show, talent presentation, and contest for “Miss Teen Fashionetta” and “Little Miss Fashionetta”. I will be competing for Miss Teen Fashionetta. The proceeds for this event will be used to support community service projects and scholarships awarded to African American graduating seniors with outstanding academic records. Xi Kappa Omega hosted its first Fashionetta in 1990 and has awarded over 100 scholarships since.
I am twelve years old and I am a honor student at Paul Revere Middle School in Los Angeles California. This school year I have been recognized for my outstanding grade point average and literary contributions. I have aspirations to become an aerospace engineer or computer science engineer.
The purpose of the Fashionetta program is to provide self-development, cultural enrichment, community service and leadership opportunities. This year the members of the Xi Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. have provided numerous opportunities in the area of science. My career goal is to become an engineer. I am very happy to be a part of the science based activities that help me expand my knowledge of science .
No donation is too small or to large! I am very thankful that you have taken time to read my story!
