Help Me Achieve My Dream For Driving
Organized by: Angel L. Acevedo
Hi! My name Angel L. Acevedo and I'm 17 years old. Before I was born I was diagnosed with Jarcho-Levin Syndrome. Jarcho-Levin Syndrome is a rare genetic disorder characterized by distinctive malformations of bones of the spinal column (vertebrae) and the ribs, respiratory insufficiency, and other abnormalities. Since I was born, my right arm has brought me great difficulty because I don't have a bone in my shoulder. Through the years, I have had many difficulties with certain things but has not stopped me from going forward with life. I am now a senior in high school in which I will put every effort to succeed. In the 10th grade, I took. driver's education and got my permit. Since then, I haven't been able to practice because I need modifications in a car when I go to drive. The cars that my parents own are not worth modifying because they are both falling to pieces. And I think that it would be a waste to modify my parent's cars. I am planning to go to college and the college I want to go to is pretty far from where I live and my parents won't be able to take me everyday so I need a car to move around without depending on my parents. I HOPE AND WISH YOU CAN HELP ME OUT!! THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!
