Started my journey to health on April 11th..my first appt with an amazing Dr. She said I will have to be back and forth to San Francisco alot See More

THE STORY:

My name is Saryn, I am a 26 year old mom of three and step mom of two. I have been dealing with this disease since I was 16 and it has gradually gotten worse. I have had many  surgery's in the past ten years five of them in the past three years. I have had the same doctor the whole time unknowing he was so ill equipt to handle the severity of my disease. I am officially stage 4 of endometriosis but UCSF is saying in my case there should be a stage five. In the progression of my condition my organs started webbing together and started not functioning as well so my doctor had to separate them by lasering the scar tissue which ultimately cause the disease to spread. At age 23 just a year shy of my last daughter being born,my doctor decided to give me a hysterectomy then three months later give me an oophorectomy (taking overies and cervix) sending me into menopause at 23. Then in November of 2015 I had to go in for another laparoscopy (which I thought went as planned)when his ob nurse came in and told us he litterally stopped in the middle of the surgery and closed me up because of how bad it was. She then advised us to seek a second opinion after seeing what he had done. The doctors she told us to see costs 20,000$ and did not accept any medical insurance so there goes that idea. Two weeks later we met for a post op where my same old dr informed us that he had found a softball sized mass in my vaginal wall that he needed to cut out but the surgery was so major that he would have to take a kidney in order to not cut my main artery. He then advised us to get a will in place in case the surgery went wrong and told my husband he should adopt my two girls. He gave us a deadline of January to make our decision. With that I decided it was definitely time to get a second opinion. I decided to make an appointment with another Dr but he was booked til April so I'd have to wait. We got married March 19 and two days after being home from our honeymoon I started having pain in a way I've never experienced (like I was giving birth) I went to the er where they discovered I had internal bleeding and was in pretty bad condition. They advised me at that time to skip seeing the new Dr and go straight for UCSF. On April 11th I went to see my new Dr in San Francisco and I am so excited for the new care I will be receiving. My new Dr is a woman which has made me feel so much more comfortable. She really has me feeling better about the outcome. I have deep rooted endo which means they'll have to cut it out. If it is on a lung or a piece of colon they will have to remove parts of my organs but they will heal.So at this point I will be having to go down there alot over the next year but it will be worth it.. My family and I appreciate anything including prayers. We are so grateful for any donations and know it will go to helping me get the medical attention I need in order to get better and back to living life! Thank you so much. Sincerely, Saryn and family

P.s. the money that gets donated is untouchable until the day before the appts. All money is strictly for transportation and medical costs.thank you
