Help Me Get Back To College
Organized by: Jasmine Moore
My name is Jasmine Moore. I am 19 years old, and I'm from Brooklyn, New York. I graduated from high school in 2014, and I was set to attend New England College in the fall, and I have been attending New Engleand College until recently. The financial aid office told me to pay $10,000 in order for me to register for classes and clear the holds on my account. Due to the fact that neither myself nor my mother has proper income to pay the school, I was told to leave, and that I would not be able to apply for classes in the spring. I tried applying for private loans, but I couldn't find a proper cosigner. My mother is undocumented, so she's doing small jobs, such as tutoring to get by. I am going to another school in the meantime and getting part time jobs to help. What I am asking for is at least $10,000 to pay off my holds so that I can go back to NEC, attend classes, and graduate with my degree in Theatre in 2018. I am in need of desperate help. My mother won't allow me to go back to NEC if I can't earn at least $10,000. So if there is any amount of money anyone can contribute, please help. I have until August 8th of 2016. I will be so honored and grateful and all the money will be put towards my education. As a theatre major, I am always pushing myself to work hard and do better for myself, so please help me to become the first person in my family to graduate from college. This means so much to me. Please get the word out to anyone who can help, Please !!!
