Help me help my sister recover from her tragedy
Organized by: Maggie Oickle
Meaghan is getting more pregnant- and will soon be needing to prepare for the baby.
August 30, 2016
My sisters nightmare became her reality on the evening of her 31st birthday when she watched her fiance, die unexpectedly. Four months pregnant, with two children of her own, Meaghans dreams instantly dissolved into thin air. As a single mom of two young, energetic boys, with one who suffers from type 1 diabetes, meeting the man of her dreams and becoming pregnant with their child seemed like her life was coming full circle towards a complete, supportive family. She never could have imagined losing the love of her life before their life truly began. Similar to many young couples, there was no savings. And now my sister is faced with raising three children alone. Life is already a struggle for her, as my youngest nephew faces life-threatening diabetic conditions quite often. I am reaching out so that my sister can supplement the income she earns working at a retirement home. With your support, she can help meet her financial obligations and spend more time with her children and avoid taking on a second job. It's a tragic situation for every person involved, every family member and friend, and these children deserve a beautiful life. I desperately want my sister to be able to grieve her loss, and provide for her deserving children. I thank you for your compassion and consideration for my sister and her kids.
