Help Me Save my little Sister
Organized by: Katrina Night
Hello, This is my sister Anna, she has had Crohn's disease since she was born, and diagnosed when she was five. We have been dealing with this ever since, she is now 20, and unable to live a normal life. She is too sick to hold a job, and has been bed ridden on and off for years. She is the light of my life, I could not ask for a better sister or friend, and yet I am unable to help her be happy. She is not able to drive, or go out, and as such is stuck at my mom’s house, so she is not able to make friends, her diet is extremely restricted and there is no known cure. Her disease has progressed with her age, and continues to get worse and worse. My mother and I have tried everything, been to every doctor and more drugs than I can remember. She needs constant care, and her medical bills have stacked up beyond what either of us can afford. She has side effects from the disease as well as from the medicine, arthritis, debilitating migraines, vertigo, anemia and many other symptoms the doctors have still not found the cause for. She has undergone treatments and therapies, x-ray’s, colonoscopies, and endoscopies. She has undergone dangerous weight loss, as a result of flare ups. She has been in and out of the hospital for years, and is very strong, but very sad. She is the most wonderful, kind hearted and loyal person I know, and she deserve to have a real chance at life. Anna has lived with my mom, and has not been able to care for herself and move out like any young person wishing for independence, until now my mother has worked to care for her, however my mother is now older, and it’s getting impossible for her to work and care for my sister. I do not have the money to support one of them, let alone both, and the medical bills. We are in a lot of debt with all of this medical, and Anna now needs a procedure to remove her intestines, to stop the bleeding. We have nowhere else to go, and this is the only way I can think of possibly helping her. Please help me save my little sister. Anything that can be donated is very much appreciated and will never be forgotten.
