LAPA Helpin animals in Russia has been sheltering Monny and Dimmy, two tripod dogs (three-legged) since the day they have been rescued from the streets. Both dogs just got a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fly to the United States where they will be taken in by a foster family before getting adopted by loving families in Los Angeles, California. We are NO-KILL rescue group that provides medical assistance and shelter to homeless, unwanted and owner-surrendered animals. Most importantly, we take in animals that are slated for euthanasia at the municipal pound. We are a foster care group driven exclusively by dedicated volunteers who treat each animal with undivided love and affection. Together, we maintain an active and effective working environment where animal welfare is our top priority. Our group is solely dependent on funds raised through donations, memberships, sponsorships and other fundraising efforts. We currently have more than 80 rescued dogs in our care. We ensure that every rescued animal is provided with a thorough medical assessment, all necessary treatments and medications, and foster/shelter care until adoption. Dimmy is a 8-month old male dog who got hit by a car in Moscow. Due to the severity of his injuries, one of his back legs had to be amputated. In the post-operation care period, he was fostered by one of our co-founders/volunteers. Since then, he's been living a happy and active life. But he needs a forever home, a place where he will offer his love and affection and become a member of the family. Dimmy always spreads joy and happiness to the people around him. Monny is a one-and-a-half-year old sterilized female dog who was found on the streets of Moscow with one of her front legs seriously injured. She was transported to the city's veterinary hospital and was operated on right away. Her post-operation care was provided by one of our co-founders/volunteers. Monny now lives in our shelter with the other rescued dogs. She is gentle, kind and very loving. She is very affectionate and loves cuddles! With the help of one of our volunteers, both dogs can be transported and welcomed to Los Angeles. There, a foster family has agreed to take care of both dogs until they find their loving families and forever homes. The chances of them finding loving families and having a good quality of life are higher in California than in Russia. The amount being raised will help cover the transportation costs: - microchips - passports - travel certificates - containers and the water bottle - fees for Los Angeles and Moscow airports We need your help to make Monny and Dimmy's trip happen. Let's welcome them to the US! Let's make this happen together!
