THE STORY:

A very poor family with children have very little to eat, and have and access to health facilities. As a result, the children are malnourished and unhealthy and have many health complications. They are therefore unable to go to school (even if there is a school in the next village). They grow up with no education or skill and cannot do any economic activity. Their parent die from preventable diseases as a result of lack of health facilities, and their fate is in their hands. As the children turn adults, they find wives who are just on the same level of poverty as them, and they have their own children. They hand over this condition to their children, who will also grow up in similar conditions. It takes an intervention from governments, charity organizations or family members who are better off to step in and provide some kind of assistance (health, feeding, shelter and basic education) to get the youth to do some kind of economic activity to bring in some income. Without that, this cycle will continue for generations and it’s a trap that is extremely difficult to get out of. The missions of our Foundation: - To Contribute to the development of the well-being and welfare of vulnerable children and their families all over the country, in order to divulge the culture, the kindness, the charity and peace as obligations of everyone in the preparation of a good future of vulnerable children. - To enable people to develop a particular mindset in terms of helping people. Helping doesn't solely concern rich people, whoever is willing to help can be helpful in certain instances. You can be helpful using items you no longer need which can be of great importance to someone else. There is someone who needs your advice, there is someone who needs your tiny assistance. For the world to become a better place, we should be proud to witness people enjoying their lives by satisfying their basic needs. There are vulnerable children everywhere in the country, whom you can help with your little means. If I had $3000 to improve children's lives in my community, my name is Jean Paul BUJYACYERA from Kigali, Rwanda. I am Journalist at local Radio station, Children activist and candidate in Masters of Arts in Development studies. I have a group of 37 vulnerable children supported by my foundation called “NUFASHWA YAFASHA” means even if you have someone support your, you can support other in need inferior to you. With $3000 I can help my community to pay their tuition fees, health insurance, dressing, and offer them small livestock to help them to fight against malnutrition (with eggs and goat milk ) and manure for small gardens vegetable gardens. The African children in my community need those needs. I want to focus on it because most of children has signs of diseases caused by malnutrition. I recommend you to watch this YouTube link of a video documentary I made by myself in order to make advocacy. It is our time to see the truth about my community.
