THE STORY:

Let me start by saying I am lucky to have this man as my brother. For those of y'all that know Charlie, you know what a special person he is. For those of you who don't know him here is a little about him. He is a devoted single dad to a beautiful 12-year-old daughter. He loves his family and has never met a stranger. He is the type of person that would stop what he is doing to help anyone who needed it. He is also a Veteran of Foreign Wars as he served our country as a Army medic during the Gulf War. Unfortunately July 2015 he was diagnosed with stage one lymphoma. He was a trooper through all of his chemo and radiation but three months after what we thought was his last treatment it has returned. You can only imagine the emotional distress that he, his daughter and our family are going through. After thinking he had beaten the cancer it is now back and very aggressive. He is now going through treatment at UAB hospital and is about to undergo a stem cell transplant. Though Charlie has medical insurance, with all the co-pays, deductibles and other out-of-pocket expenses his medical bills are extremely high. We are asking for y'all's help to relieve some of the financial burden he is under. Even if you can only give five dollars that would be a huge help with his situation. Thank you in advance for your consideration. Respectfully, one lucky brother.
