Life in Southern California can be a struggle when your living on your own for the first time. When my boyfriend Luis and I moved into our current apartment, Luis was working in the casino industry and I was receiving financial aid while in school. The last few months it has been especially difficult to pay our bills and survive. Luis loves what he does especially in the marketing field but he makes less then other people in our area and not enough to support both of us. Recently we brought a beautiful son Varian into the world, and while that has brought us both great joy, faith, and happiness it has also come with new obstacles like finding better work. We are doing, as few have said, our very best. But it has not been enough to sustain us. I humbly ask that you at least take the time to consider helping my family. Over the few months we fell behind in our rent payments. This summer we were unable to pay much at all. Our landlord has given us until September 16th to catch up, or face eviction. If we get evicted our only option is a homeless shelter and that is something any parent would not want their child to experience. We are asking you for help. Please help as you can. With love, Luis, Elizabeth and Varian
