THE STORY:

I’m turning 86 on October 13th, 2016 and my birthday wish is to raise $5,000.00 for My Warrior's Place. I am asking each person who makes a donation to pass this birthday wish forward to a minimum of three people to help me acheive my fundraising birthday goal. Funds raised will help with a building project at My Warrior’s Place which will benefit our nation’s wounded warriors, “at risk” active duty military, first responders and families of the fallen. The mission for My Warrior's Place, for over 4 years now, has been to provide a recreational, therapeutic, and holistic retreat along with several amazing healing programs for those who have given so much for America. They provide what the VA and military can’t for our war veterans, those still serving, and their families. Additionally, they also provide for our First Responders who keep us safe and secure on our home front. My Warrior’s Place has been approved for permits to build a new facility which will provide more space for the retreat guests and to be used to house our American Heroes who come to participate in the supportive and healing programs. They have already broken ground for this building and have the foundation in place. They also have many local businesses who have already stepped up to donate materials and labor for this worthwhile endeavor. I hope that you too will consider My Warrior's Place's mission an important one and will want to contribute towards building materials and/or labor that is still needed for construction of this new 3 bedroom, 2 bath wheelchair accessible building structure which will make a positive difference in the lives of those who have made the sacrifices for you and every American. For more information on My Warrior’s Place visit their website at www.mywarriorsplace.org or come out to the retreat center in person at 101 22nd Street NW, Ruskin, Fl 33570. The all volunteer staff would love to show you the beautiful retreat area on the river and all that they offer to our American Heroes. Thank you. Marty Schoeff (Proud grandmother of SPC.
