Help PTSD veterans regain control of their lives
Organized by: Deborah Bonneveld
The funding is for opening the farm, seeds, animals and our organic shop. We will open our doors to everyone who helped us, so you can see how you have changed hundreds of lives. We also will give our sponsors organic seeds, so they can bring a part of the farm home. Even when we don't reach our goal, all the money will go to the farm and the veterans. When veterans were in the military, they may have seen combat. They may have been on missions that exposed them to horrible and life-threatening experiences. They may have been shot at, seen a buddy get shot, or seen death. These types of events can lead to PTSD. Those men and women gave a lot for protecting our freedom. When a veteran returns from military service with PTSD, it takes a heavy toll on their relationship and family life. Families have to deal with the frustration of a loved one who won’t open up, or even deal with anger or disturbing behavior. We want to offer a place where Veterans, from all over the world, experiencing PTSD can find safety, acceptance and support to recover. We want to provide housing and support services for veterans caught up in the revolving door of the psychiatric system. We want to create an environment which fosters hope and belief that change is possible. We want to build an environment where veterans are respected and listened to. With your help, we can help hundreds of veterans and their families worldwide. Veterans can regain control of their lives and have a new future.
