Help Sarah (McDairmant) Boland Fight for Her Kids
Organized by: Crista Lovelace
I had been a single Mom since 2008 my kids were 1 and 3. Our family of 3 was well adjusted to what was our normal from that time until their uninvolved, biological father decided to pursue full legal custody of the kids just over 6 years later. We have been in a custody battle now since July of 2014-present. In June of 2015 I re-married. My husband does anything and everything he can do for the kids and our family. He has no children of his own but you would not guess that if you saw him with my two - they adore him and vice versa. We are blessed! We had a custody trial in December 2015 which I thought meant the end of the custody battle. He was given a second chance at parenting and the kids were to be with each of us on alternating weeks. Only to find out last week, May 2016 that the biological father is not pleased with how much pain he has already caused the children and myself and my husband and countless other relatives and persons that this custody case affects. He had me served last week to take me back to court in an effort to prohibit my having any involvement with my children with no reason for such. We are at an impasse. We have no option to not go back to court and fight for my children's rights, protection and ultimately their best interests. However, we still have outstanding legal bills from the case that ended in December 2015. We do not have the funds to fund a new case and hire an attorney to fight forward. We are scared of how to push ahead as the legal system demands a professional and does not necessarily honor one representing themselves. We really are stuck. We know this is no surprise to God. That just because this was not our timing and took us by surprise, God is omniscient-He knew this would happen at this time. God is still in control. We are praying for and trusting that God will give us direction and that "the truth will set us free." If you can financially support us in this literal living nightmare, we would certainly be grateful. Like our pastor says when he mentions tithe-God can do more with our 10% than we can do by holding onto it. I believe the same principle applies in our lives not just our finances. God can do so much more if we entrust our situations to him than if we are trying to control a portion of it. The GREATEST thing that anyone reading this can do is to pass along the story, to share it with others and via social media. Then if everyone reading could please keep us in your prayers. Our court date is set for June 20, 2016 and we are asking God for: - Direction - Peace - Wisdom - Safety for the kids (heart, soul, mind & body) - Healing - Restoration of our family Please support us with your prayers? Please email us with how we can pray for you and your families also.
