Help Start Hydroponic Healing for Veterans

I am in the process of developing a non-profit organization for military veterans that incorporates hydroponic vegetable gardening as a way of managing the effects of PTSD and TBI's, as well as providing a healthier, all organic alternative to store bought produce that is often imported and doused in pesticides and other chemicals. Fully funded, this organization would be a nationwide network of volunteers that would build home hydroponic systems for disabled veterans in an effort to create a healthier environment through self-sustainment. Gardening is known to be a rewarding, stress-relieving activity. When a veteran reaches out, they will receive a new hydroponic system, starter nutrients and education on the most productive way to grow vegetables hydroponically. The veteran will also be plugged into a larger network of other veterans and peer mentors. Once veteran is proficient in operation and production of the system, that veteran will then go on to serve as a peer mentor to other vets. These systems will provide the veteran with a daily activity, self-sustaining food supply and, if the veteran so chooses, a way to earn income through local farmer's markets.
