Help support a classroom of girls in northern Pakistan
Organized by: Iqra Fund
EVENT DATE Nov 04, 2016
Education is a basic human right. Poverty, politics, or cultural practices should never prevent a girl from receiving a quality education.
Iqra Fund is committed to providing access to quality education for girls living in the remote mountainous region of northern Pakistan. We work exclusively with communities that have shown a commitment to providing their girls an education and securing for them a life beyond early marriage and working in fields.
We need your help to support two teachers in one of these villages, called Basho Valley. A few days ago we received a dollar-for-dollar matching challenge of $3,750. We have been challenged to raise $3,750 in the next two weeks (by November 4th) to support our students in Basho Valley – immediately!
Why $3,750? With $3,750, Iqra Fund will support one teacher with her salary and training, and will provide her classroom of students with school supplies for an entire year. With your help matching this donation, we can support one more teacher’s salary and training for the year. This matching challenge will support not just one, but two classrooms in Basho Valley, which is one of the most remote communities Iqra Fund supports. Help us support not just 30, but 60 girls by donating during this matching challenge. For more information please visit our website.
