Help Sydney get her tonsils out!
Organized by: Sydney Klein
Hi Everyone, For three years I have been dealing with chronic strep that keeps me out of work for about one week of every month through the cold season. I have been told to get a tonsillectomy for the last two years, however fear and financials have kept me from moving forward.
My most recent visit to the ENT has confirmed that I do in fact need to get the surgery. My tonsils are beginning to put strep into my body, which is impacting my kidneys, and if left untreated can affect the heart. (Arnold Swartzenager actually had these complications...pretty crazy?!).
I am so worn out from the infection, kidney pain, and related illnesses that it feels like my body is rejecting the host. These bad boys have to go. My insurance is covering a good portion, however I will still end up paying around $2,000 out of pocket. Russell and I as is are using our paychecks to pay off loans and all the bills that come with living. On top of that I am out of work come the end of October, needless to say, we are financially stretched.
I am seeking help to reduce the cost, any amount, for my surgery, so we don't go more into debt. I know that this surgery seems kind of silly, however it is starting to feel like my body just doesn't want to work anymore. I am really hoping this procedure will turn my health around and answer a lot of questions as to why I feel so terrible all the time.
If you want to send a check to me, you can do that as well. I'll send you my address.
Thank you for your help.
