Help Tatiana beat ovarian cancer!
My mom lives in a small country of Moldova. She is a perfect housewife, mother of two children, a beautiful woman and very kind person. When my mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2014. She was only 47 years old. The diagnosis sounded like a death sentence, because we only heard about this disease and we never could have thought that this may happen to my mom, and what lies ahead was unknown to us.
The first thing we did is we went to the Cancer Centre of the Republic of Moldova. We were told that an accurate diagnosis can be established after the surgery, after we remove the ovaries and take histological examination of the tumor. Preparation for the operation and the expectation of what will happen next was unbearable, but the hope that it wasn’t a tumor remained.
The first surgery was carried out a few days after my mom’s birthday which falls on August 3. Our whole family hoped for a miracle. But unfortunately it did not happen. One week after surgery my mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer stage 3 with metastases in the omentum. This diagnoses left the ground under our feet, and we knew that it is the beginning of the end.
We knew that ahead of us lies long and painful chemotherapy. After the first 6 courses of chemotherapy the disease has receded, and we reach remission of the disease. We were so happy. It seemed - it's a miracle, we thank God for what he gave my mom Tatiana a chance for another life. But, unfortunately, our happiness did not last long. After 5 months of remission at the next examination 2 tumor located in Douglas in the pelvis. It was a heavy blow for the whole family and especially for my mom.
Once again we are on painful chemotherapy. And there was again a chance. The doctors agreed to operate these two tumors. As a coincidence, the second operation took place a few days before my mom’s birthday in 2015. Again, we were hoping for a miracle. But after the surgery, the doctors stated that they could not remove the tumor because of the progression of the disease which could not be seen on conventional survey. In other words, they cut and stitched back because they could not do anything. It was another blow for mommy and for our whole family, but we continued to fight.
After an unsuccessful operation we carried out 10 more courses of chemotherapy. Some of them held back the progression of the process for a while, and then the cancer has adapted to the drugs and developed immunity. It is impossible to describe all the horror that took place during this period. Each survey is stressful to hear that more and more metastases appear.
Today we can no longer fight alone. We need money to treat our mom Tatiana. We don’t believe anymore in the professional approach and power of our medics. We want to go in a Turkish hospital, but do not have the financial ability and support. Mom is now in a critical condition. Metastasized went to the lymph nodes, multiple metastases in the pelvis, fluid (ascites) in the abdominal cavity and liver metastases (hit by more than 40%) and CA-125 blood test that shows the progression of the cancer is way beyond imaginable. If a normal person has 35 CA-125 blood test. My mom’s test shows 4000. In Moldova no one can help us. Now we are on a clock and each day for us is a challenge.
Currently our mom Tatyana is 49 years old. She still has so many things to do. Things that she did not do in her life because she was busy raising us – her beloved children. Please help my mom and us fight this horrible disease called CANCER. She wants to live; she wants to see in the nearest future her grandchildren. We will be updating every step of our journey to all of you. We hope that people will hear us and help us beat this horrible disease. May the Lord protect you and your families from cancer.
