Help the Rahenkamps have a baby

This is us, we’re the Rahenkamps and this is our story…
Jason is a wounded veteran of the United States Navy. He served for 6 years and served in 2 wars. During his service, he was serving aboard the Guided Missile Destroyer, The USS Callaghan. The ship and crew were headed to the Persian Gulf to fight in the Gulf War. Jason was performing maintenance on one of the ships guns when he was injured. A 1500 pound nitrogen tank fell on him, crushing his right testicle and damaging his left. After the injury, he was left untreated for 3 weeks. The untreated injury lead to a staph infection. When the ship finally docked, he underwent an emergency surgery to remove the right testicle and try to maintain the left as much as possible.
Over the next year he underwent many reconstructive surgeries to help repair the damage and rebuild his urethra. Ultimately, this injury impaired his reproductive system. We’ve tried everything possible to conceive naturally. We’ve sought non-traditional methods including herbal and spiritual remedies, all with zero success. And so, we’ve turned to science.
After reaching out to a reproductive clinic, we’ve undergone a multitude of tests to determine the issue. Due to Jason’s war injury, his sperm count is extremely low and diminishing quickly. Our Dr. advised us the only chance we have of conceiving a child would be through IVF. For those of you who don’t know much about IVF, it is a medical procedure to help couples conceive their own child with the help of science. It is a very expensive procedure, but can be very successful in creating a child. IVF helps many couples achieve the family they dream of every day. Please help us make our dream a reality.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. We appreciate all of the love and support in every way!
Sincerely, Jason and Brooke Rahenkamp
