BENEFITING: July Four Plymouth Inc
Calling on all Plymouth friends (and non-Plymouth friends!) -- please join us in supporting Plymouth's Fourth of July celebration this year!
July 4 has always been a special day for Matt and I. Growing up, my family celebrated my dad's July 4 birthday; and Matt was usually working with his dad to plan Plymouth's festivities -- because (and what many people don't know) Plymouth's annual celebration is funded and organized nearly entirely by the individuals, families and businesses that live and thrive here.
On July 4, 2003, Matt and I got engaged on the beach in Plymouth. And since then, we've returned every year, later with our kids, because we loved celebrating the Fourth of July here, in America's Hometown.
When we moved back to Plymouth two years ago, we knew we wanted to get involved -- and helping with the Fourth of July was high on both our lists. Matt's dad and several other like-minded members of our community founded July 4 Plymouth Inc. in 1980, when the town could no longer fully fund the celebration -- and for the last 37 years, he and small committee of dedicated volunteers have worked tirelessly to plan and organize the day's events.
This year, we hope that you'll join us in supporting July 4 in Plymouth with a donation -- and more importantly, we hope you'll come out and join us, for the 5K, the parade, the Philharmonic concert, and the fireworks -- and create your own 4th of July memories here.
PS -- if you're interested in marching or participating in the parade, visit July4Plymouth,com or let me know -- I can help with that too!
