BENEFITING: Purrfect Pals
Two year old Nova has glaucoma in her left eye, causing it to swell up to twice the size it should be. Glaucoma is a condition which increases the intraocular pressure and causes buphthalmia (enlarged globe size), pressure, pain and vision loss. When this condition happens in a young cat, there is concern that is was from previous trauma or possible a congenital condition. The humane thing to do is remove the eye which immediately removes the source of pain and prevents the need for long-term medication.
We plan to enucleate the eye this coming week. The eye will be submitted for histopathology to determine the cause of the condition. Purrfect Pals could really use your help paying for Nova's medical expenses. The estimate for her care is $2,000.
Will you help us care for Nova by donating or sharing this link today? Any donations brought in that are not needed for Nova's medical expenses will be added to our Tipper Fund for other kitties in need of extraordinary veterinary care. Thank you!
