Hi. I'm Lynn Hicks. I have been placing the dogs directly from the Muleshoe Pound, or bringing home those dogs that don't have immediate homes. I care for the dogs until a suitable home is found. I guarantee that dogs dropped off because their owner has passed or has been taken to a nursing homes... I will personally work to make sure these dogs are placed out of respect for the elder owner. I've been doing this now for about 6 months and have gone through about $2,500.00 of our money. I'm not complaining because it is my choice to do this, but I do need any type of assistance you can give. If you are happy that the dogs are not being put to sleep every Friday, and you have the means - please any help you can get. I have about 10 medium sized dogs right now and they need fixing. I've already done basic medical care, but there just isn't any more money. The City told me that they do not have any funds for placing dogs. The dogs that come out of the pound are all GOOD dogs. Jesse keeps the pound sterile, I did have a senior surrender a dog due to nursing home - and it did have severe ear infection and sever kennel cough that came to the pound with these ailments. The cute pug is cured and I took him to the Muleshoe Nursing Home to see if I could find the owner - but she went to another place. Funds will be used for food, flea and tick medication, dog houses and kennels and repairs, vet bills and fixing the pets. I try to keep as much shade as possible and would also like to purchase some of the cooling beds. They all have pools and I change the water a couple times a day. Money as a donation will go to some of the other shelters in Lubbock that have been helping us. They also need help financially when they take our dogs. They have all been wonderful to Muleshoe. Money will be put in Aim Bank in Muleshoe and I will report receipts to Jay Messenger so that you will know that your money is 100% going to help the dogs. Thank You.
