Help Zoe feel safe after a home invasion!
Organized by: Stu James
I was horrified to learn this morning that my wife's 88 year old aunt living alone in Athens Greece was the victim of a home invasion. She was drugged and robbed of a watch and 500 Euros, which is more than a months pension for her.
The assailant was a well dressed woman who came to her door asking for a glass of water. My wife's aunt offered her coffee as well. The police have determined that one of the coffee cups had traces of a tranquilizer, but have no leads so far. It is possible someone observed her withdrawing the money from the bank and followed her home.. I am so angry! The watch and money can be replaced, but she will never feel safe again. It is my hope that we can raise some money to pay for a part time care giver, at the very least have someone visit her on a regular basis to see how she is doing and if she needs anything. Anything helps!
