Help A Child Excel was created to help underprivileged children excel through educational and/or recreational programs, which they may not have been able to attend or participate in, due to financial constraints.
All children should be allowed the same opportunity.
If you can not donate financially, please donate your time by spreading the word. Thank you.
Name: Ma'lia Moore
Cause: A chance to attend the National Young Scholars Program
School: Albany Community Charter School
Age: 9 years old
Ma'lia is a very bright young girl, whom is a consistent superior honor roll student, an active member of the (1) Chimalsi Steppers Step Team, (2) Drama club, and (3) Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.
Ma'lia was nominated for the National Young Scholars Program(NYSP), which is an interactive program that unleashes the learning potential within the nation's most promising young students. Students select the Discovery Strand in which they want to participate. Strands are developed and designed as fully interactive adventures which take young attendees far beyond the typical classroom experience and invigorate the natural curiosity that is the gift of childhood.
This program will provide Ma'lia with the opportunity to meet and work with other high-achieving, talented students, and delve into the world of medicine, engineering, and or forensics.
The program costs $2,000.00, which is the goal of this fundraiser.
