Help Andrew Walk Freely
Organized by: Marta Zdanevych
Walking freely on your legs is a great treasure. Please let’s help a young actor from Ukraine renew his ability to do so.
One thousand people could make it happen with just a $12 donation each.
Currently Andrew is in the long process of knee rehabilitation after plastic reconstruction of his cruciate ligaments (I suppose that is the term). He is a theater actor and functional knee is a key to his ability to bring the world of arts into our lives.
February 15 is Andrew’s birthday and I decided to set up this Fundraiser so that we can make a present to this brave young guy and help him return to active life at full.
Here is Andrew’s story.
Last year a young and proactive actor signed up for the theater trip to the war sites. They headed to the eastern Ukraine to support and encourage soldiers protecting motherland. During that trip Andrew injured his knee so that it had to undergo surgery immediately.
Expensive surgery, even more expensive long-term rehabilitation. Ukraine does not boast with health insurance system, neither with economic stability. So, all he had to do is borrow some funds for at least the initial period.
With lack of funds Andrew nearly gave up massages and treatment to help rehabilitate his knee. He is exercising on his own, but that doesn’t bring much progress.
He cannot walk well. He cannot return to his normal actor’s life. And if he won’t make it in the nearest months it might be not possible to renew knee flexibility (sorry, I might be not very specific about terms). To do so he needs money and that is what crowd can support with.
At least 1000 people. Just $12 each. I am sure we will help Andrew recover!
